Road to Jr. Nationals by Brandie Gardner

Brandie Gardner
I started dieting early on for this season. i did alot of things different this go-round:

- only walk in the morning, no more running! i was a running junkie.
- cut back on teaching my group classes. it took alot not to lead my class by example instead of instruction.
- broke my body parts down to only two per day so i could allow rest in between. i also was a training junkie and felt that i had to bounce from one equipment to the other and train my entire body along the way each and every day.
i- Perform agilities three days per week instead of every day.

As for nutrition, i simply ate more meals. i was bad on not getting all of my meals in due to work and kids but now i do not forget any. i cut the artificial sweeteners out of my diet, so bye-bye sweet & low, hello water, even went as far as cutting out the sugarless gum. As for supplements, i take ultra 40 by beverly international. i also included muscularity after my workouts and i never forget my vitamins & calcium. as for thermogenics, i like the 99 degrees thermocore, a product that is new to me.

I have found that i am more focused this time around and i can see why every little detail that time has me do is for a reason, right down to cutting out the sweeteners. so these are the changes that i have done to prepare for the 2007 junior nationals and i will continue to improve for the team universe.

The biggest part of me that has changed is my attitude towards dieting and the outlook of the competition. i am positive and realize that dieting is temporary but the winning attitiude and hopefully the winninig placings are forever.

YOURS IN FITNESS HEALTH,
BRANDIE GARDNER
