How did you get interested in bodybuilding/working out?

As a child, I always tagged along with my Mom to Aerobics classes & played around with the weights at the gym. In high school & college, I ran Cross Country & mildly weight-trained. When I met my husband, Cade at Red Lerille's Gym in Lafayette, LA, he was preparing for a Bodybuilding competition. I was so impressed with his work ethic & physique that I started seriously weight training as well.

What was your first show like, any interesting experiences?

I placed 2nd in my first show at the NPC Louisiana Figure Championships in 2003, then won the NPC Greater Gulf States Figure Championships in 2003. I began competing at the National level in 2004.

What do you like and dislike about competing?

I love the challenge of competing & goal-setting opportunities!

What are your future goals in this industry?

This year, I'd like to place top 5 at a National NPC Figure show, turn Pro in the IFBB, & continue modeling & competing in the Pro Figure ranks.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

I see myself competing on the Olympia & Arnold stages, writing an advice column for a Women's Fitness Magazine, serving as an ambassador and role-model for Fitness/Figure, & being a model wife & educator.

Please tell us something special about you that most people wouldn't know?

I have an obsessive habit of trimming my split ends!
