After the Olympia overload there hasn't been much to discuss except the upcoming Nationals in Atlanta. Few shows are now left and there are many planned for next year. A huge revolving door, I have been doing this since 2004 and you quickly learn most of the people you know aren't competing anymore. Lots of new faces, good and bad. We see less and less shoots and less promotion from competitors even now that there is a lot more internet.

Another federation which is the WBFF has surely attracted many competitors from the NPC. It seems they are going for a harder look for figure which was NPC 2003-2004 era. This surely clears the pot for the politics in a small way. No matter what you do politics will be around any federation, if I found a federation without politics this website would put its name behind it.

Money is the biggest corrupter in the the grand scheme of things. Promoters need the money to make a living and have to resort to unscrupulous acts. Sometimes they don't even know its wrong but that is just lack of education and intelligence. If you run a show no family member should compete in it, if a supplement company sponsors a show none of their athletes should participate. Simple as 1 + 1 = 2, but in this small industry that produces very little money promoters have no choice but to allow these things. Shame on them, I at least get to sleep well at night :)
