What do you want?

We have had a great response as usual regarding the Olympia booth. We are still looking for one more model to work this event. A few key factors is that each company looks for something different and also what is cost effective.

A large majority of supplement companies always hire local models for this event. Las Vegas is the biggest place with independent models that are available for hire. So most companies either post ads on craigslist or will also network on facebook to find models.

HardFitness doesn't mind someone outside of Vegas but of course they have to look great and be able to perform well their function with our business model. Our business model is more related to photography than anything else so a great model is what we are looking for. A supplement company wants a great seller but shouldn't care much about their looks or modeling ability. Sometimes their placings might be good enough as an attraction to booth but that does not equate a sale.

Rules are also important, HardFitness has very strict rules and code of conduct. Other companies may not have this but the fact that they are bankrupt after a few years tells you that is the wrong approach. Spending money and never getting a return will do that to you.

If you really want to work a booth and have a consistent one its best to get a contract, even if its just for working the booths. Guaranteed work is the best you can find because you never have to worry about spending time in finding it.

Get a resume and your photos together and email different companies. Always show you are available and make sure if you promise you will call you actually do. In my experience I weave out 90% of candidates because they show some type of flaky behavior. Looks are great to have but when it comes to work flaky doesn't help. If you don't hear back from company always check in again just in case they did reply and you didn't get the email. These are the things that make a model stand out from the rest.
