20 Questions with Cover Model Stephanie Sadaka

Stephanie Sadaka

1) Please introduce yourself? What makes you special? Who is Stephanie Sadaka?

I am a caring person who never gives, that when I put my mind to something I will finish it no matter what.

2) Please tell us a bit about your family, friends and surroundings?

My parent's are from Santiago DE Chile, but I was born and raise here, and I grew up with a lot of love, because of culture. I also have a big family of 7.  I've been happily married for about 1 year now.

3) How did you start competing in figure?

I was involved in the gym a lot because of the previous weight I had lost and learned to make it a lifestyle. People use to always come up to me and tell me I should compete. Until one day I meet somebody who competed, who took me to the show and it was then till I knew I wanted to compete.

4) What is your personal policy (not what the judges want) about conditioning and muscularity when coming into a show? Soft or hard?

I like the hard look.

5)  What is your idea of what judges want in a Figure competitor? Do you think judges are clear enough with competitors about how they want you on stage? It seems in Europe they are very clear unlike in the USA and now in Canada things are confusing.

I think every show is different it depends on the judges. Some judges want a softer look or a harder look.

6) For the next shows what do you think you need to work on physique-wise/conditioning-wise? If anything!

I definitely  want to bring up my legs.

7) What is your typical training routine in the gym (per day, include sets and reps!) How much cardio do you do before a show?

I weight train 5 days a week, hitting 2-3 different muscle groups. I keep my reps usually from 15,12,8, drop 8 and usually super set. I do cardio 5 x a week, three 30 min low intensity and 2 days of 20 mins high intensity.

8) What is your pre-contest diet? (per day, 1 week before the show)

I usually have a high protein diet, eating about 5-6 times a day, with carbs usually around my workouts and early afternoon. I don't really change much for my show I usually just change the foods I eat so I know my sodium is low. My model is that if you have to do so much for a show then your probably not ready. I'm ready year round.

9) How do you go about dropping your water before the day of the show? How much water do you drink the day of the show. Please be specific.

I don't drop water for a show. The day of the show I just sip on water.

10) What motivates you to train/diet and compete? Are there any competitors you looked up to?

I love the fitness lifestyle, since I lost 50 lbs I have that motivation to never go back to that weight. I look up to Gina Aliotti, she has an amazing figure.

11) Please tell us an interesting experience you had at a show recently, be it a fun thing or something rather not so fun?

The last show was fun. I always have fun at shows, even  regardless of the placing.

12) What is your personal opinion about the figure, fitness, bodybuilding industry we are in? Anything you would like to see changed?

I think every bodies classes are fine. Usually the person in each class who end up winning do look the best.

13) What has been your hardest challenge to overcome either in your personal life or competing career?

Making time. I have learn to make it a life style and not a job. So I can manage my time with my husband and family members.
